Be sure to attend the fan forums at this year's Late Model Knoxville Nationals

If you are in Knoxville over the next three days for the Late Model Nationals, be sure to stop by the Sprint Car Hall of Fame for some interesting fan forums. On Thursday at 2 p.m., defending Late Model Nationals champion Steve Francis will be on hand to discuss his career in late model racing. On Friday at 11:30 a.m. Dave Argabright will interview Billy Moyer; and, at 2 p.m. on Friday author John Havick of Stone Mountain, Georgia, will be discussing his latest book, “The Ghosts of NASCAR: The Harlan Boys and the First Daytona 500.” By the way, that's Harlan, Iowa! Then on Saturday the annual late model memorabilia auction takes place at noon, followed at 3 p.m. by “Early Yankee Dirt Track Classics at Hawkeye Downs in Cedar Rapids” emceed by Bob Markos. Special guests will include past Yankee Dirt Track Classic champions and contestants Verlin Eaker, Fred Horn, Ken Walton, Ed Sanger, Tom Hearst, Curt Hansen and Gary Webb.
