Welcome to Positively Racing!

Welcome to Positively Racing! Thanks for giving us a look. As our little introduction indicates, we are all about keeping a positive spin on the area racing scene, highlighting the highlights, eliminating the bashing, name-calling and innuendo, and, at times, providing some constructive criticism to the comings and goings of the upcoming short track season.
For me personally, it is a privilege to be working on this project with my good friend Jeff Broeg. Jeff and I go back a few years, and over that time have shared endless observations about races we have attended - what was fun, and what wasn't. To me, Jeff has more knowledge about the Midwest racing scene than just about anyone going, and he has a love for it second-to-none. That is evident by the All-Iowa and All-Missouri Points that now have an exclusive home here at Positively Racing. Jeff pours endless hours into keeping these points updated and providing race fans and racers alike with an idea of who is hot on the local racing scene. I can't wait for the green flag to drop so that we can see who has the hottest hand in 2009.
This site is in its infancy, so visit often and watch it grow. Over the course of the upcoming weeks, we will be adding some additional voices to the mix. We will also be updating our specials schedule every chance we get; keeping it current throughout the season. We will be posting photos from the events we attended, photos from our photographer friends from across the area, and some vintage photos from events we have covered in the past. As the action heats up this spring, Positively Racing will grow in leaps and bounds.
I also encourage you to visit the sites we have linked to Positively Racing. These are produced by goods friends of ours who also have the best interest of the sport in mind. The vast majority of us have sprung from either a print or radio background, and though we may have entered the 21st century kicking and screaming, we all have recognized the importance of taking auto racing to the computer screen, and to the race fan.
Again, thanks for checking us out - and hang on. I can already smell the fresh watered clay and the fumes of a freshly fired engine...
