Modified money ready to flow starting tonight

In racing circles they always talk about the "Month of Money" when it comes to sprint cars; a part of which are the upcoming Knoxville Nationals. For IMCA modifieds, there now seems to be a "Week of Money" that starts tonight and runs through Friday, with the majority of it only 15 minutes or less from my house - I can't complain.
The Hawkeye Dirt Tour rolls into the Southern Iowa Speedway tonight and pays $1,000 to the winner. All of the other classes regularly running at Osky race too as a part of this county fair show. All classes return tomorrow night for the regular Wednesday schedule, with modifieds again paying $1,000-to-win.
The action shifts to Knoxville on Thursday for the annual running of the Harris Clash and it's $2,000-to-win payoff. Friday, drivers are left with a choice. The can stay on a half-mile and race Des Moines with its increased weekly modified purse, or they can travel to the highbanks of Marshalltown and race there for another $1,000-to-win with $500-to-win for sportmods.
Whatever your choice may be, I'd say it is safe to say that you will see some new faces in different places over the next four nights. Sure its hot, but drink extra fluids, stuff an extra ice pack in your shorts, and head out to the track. This third week in July has become quite interesting!
